Xamintie is a traditional cafe with a modern twist in one of Thessaloniki’s central squares. Situated in one of the city’s recreational areas, the cafe was designed to accomodate customers during the whole day.

The internal balcony’s metal structure and wood flooring are used as an additional seating area while the bar and remaining seating area were placed on the ground floor. Marble was used for the bar and cement tiles and mortar were used for the flooring. The glass partition on the facade facing the square works as a connection with the square and the lighting also intensifies the extension of the shop into the square. The materials used are those of an old urban cafe (wood, marble, cement mortar, and cement tiles).
